I have been a patient of his (as well as two of my sisters and my niece) this past year after finding out I (we) carry the BRCA1 gene; so all the surgeries were preventive surgeries. I’m sharing this review on behalf of my father, Jim Boyle. “I am 84 years old. In June 2016 I received a scratch on my left shin. It developed into a cancerous Basal Cell Carcinoma. I was miss advised to have radiation treatment. 20 applications were applied during August 2016 resulting in an increase of cancer and in unhealable wound. I was treated at the advanced Wound Care Center, Methodist from April 2017 to December 2019. Fortunately, Dr. Shuck was brought in. After months of careful assessment he operated. He successfully removed the radiation burned area, approximately 3 in square and replaced with a graft from my left elbow area. After four years I am healed. Dr. John Shuck’s skill and learning, in my humble opinion, is absolutely fantastic. His presence, a pure pleasure and I will say the same for his people. What a fine physician. I took a chance on Dr. Albright as I was referred by another client, who was really happy with her work. In fact, she travels to Woodlands from the Austin area, just to see Dr. Albright. I was really pleased with the results that I had. I had fillers, skinpen microneedling and ultherapy. The ultherapy is still kicking in as it takes a few months. About 10 months ago, I had surgery on my left hand. Dr. Gordon deleted a bone that had grown over time and replaced it with a tendon. I had rehab for about 6 weeks and my hand is 100%. I was involved in an aircraft accident and got to know Dr Alford after to help me get my sinuses and nose back together after trauma from the accident. Dr Alford runs a first class operation and has a wonderful staff. I never wait more then 5 minutes to see him and what Doctor will actually personally call you to follow up on things! I highly recommend plastic surgeon Dr Pierre Chevray who performed my breast reconstruction, inserting expanders, immediately after my bilateral mastectomy for breast cancer. I felt completely comfortable with Dr Chevray and his amazing (and kind - and hilarious) nurse, Carol. They answered every question and treated me with kindness, compassion and complete discretion. After my expanders were inserted, I learned I needed chemotherapy because cancer was found in my lymph nodes, delaying my final reconstruction. Five months later, the chemo caused a serious infection in my expander. I was hospitalized for a week, jeopardizing the expander and potentially altering the final appearance of the reconstruction. (It was possible I would need that expander removed, another put in three months later, and then the final surgery three months after that with a less pleasing result.) Dr Chevray and his team worked to help heal the infection and save my expander - which is unusual and highly difficult to do. He did my final reconstruction 7 weeks ago, and I am thrilled. They look great! With another, less skilled physician, I might not have attained such a positive outcome. Dr Chevray is a phenomenal, skilled, caring surgeon. I have already recommended him to friends dealing with breast cancer or considering augmentation and will continue to do so. Dr. Shuck is an outstanding physician. He did a very difficult and complex reconstructive surgery on my elbow when several things went wrong after the initial surgery to repair the broken bones. He was so attentive and came by every day to talk to me in the hospital, both before and after the surgery. He did an outstanding job on the surgery, and he is always concerned and patient, and he answers any and all questions. He is a very warm person, really cares about his patients, and has outstanding communication skills. I chose Dr. Chevray because he offered me options for my reconstruction that had not been offered by the other surgeons I had consulted with. Dr. Pierre Chevray is the very BEST!!! Went to many doctors and when I met him I knew I found my doctor. Other docs made it seem that my case was a difficult one. I was a little concerned. I met Dr. Chevray and he was confident he could do the job. He said Mari it is very simple. I was jumping in one leg praising Hallellujahs that I finaly found someone I could trust! I had my surgery March 2019. I prayed that God will help me find a good honest and caring doc and I found him. He is wonderful, caring, calm, assertive, very smart/knowledgeable. I cannot recommend Dr Spiegel and her team more highly. I attended her clinic when having trouble with uncomfortable implants after a previous mastectomy. Dr Spiegel suggested DIEP procedure and I was really not sure. Over the coming months both she and her team explained the procedure, the benefits and results and implications. I decided to go ahead and I could not be more happy with the results. I look like I would have done pre mastectomy. I have been amazed by the continued care and concern of the whole team from the finance folk to the clinic nurses and doctors and their absolute pleasure in seeing my delight. I chose her over other Houston area surgeons and felt that I could trust her. Everyone in her office supported me each step of the way. First, and foremost, this is a major surgery and you rely on medical excellence to avoid important risks. She is a perfectionist regarding medical safety. Next, her artistry is outstanding. She got the best result that could be possible. Finally, if you have radiation, it is a long journey of several years to get from the beginning to end of the process, involving a year of a temporary expander before the final reconstruction. It is important to have a team that you can have that trusting supportive relationship over time. Dr. Spiegel is my guardian angel and I owe her and her entire team and staff a debt of gratitude that I will ever be able to repay! I am one year out from my original Diep flap surgery with her and I feel great- like myself again! After undergoing a prophylactic mastectomy ( due to testing positive for the BRCA 2 gene and strong family cancer) and getting breast implants with another doctor, Dr. Spiegel saved my life by removing the implants and performing Deip surgery. The implants cased me so much pain and diminished my quality of life but now I have it back. I have no more pain and my breasts are soft again and created from my very own tissue. Dr. Spiegel is simply fantastic. I am so grateful to her and her whole staff (Alexis/Nicole/Lisa/Aidee/Angie) for the wonderful care and support given to me from my very first visit to their office. Dr. Spiegel is so thorough that during the course of my visits, she insisted that I consult a GI doctor for my distended stomach. Turns out that I had an H Pylori infection for which I had to be treated. No other doctors had ever looked past their specialties to treat the whole individual, and I am 59 years old. Subsequently, Dr. Spiegel pushed for an endoscopy, and it was discovered that I had an ulcer for which I was treated. From cardio work up, lab tests to chest xrays, Dr. Spiegel ensured that I was in top shape for surgery and made sure that I understood all aspects of the procedure and treatment.During my stay at the hospital, Dr. Spiegel, Alexis, Nicole, Dr. Arroyo, and Dr. Vo infused me with so much strength, support and kindness that I have no words to express my gratitude and appreciation. I highly recommend Dr. Pierre Chevray. I was very fortunate that I found him through the Methodist Hospital website. At that time I had lost hope of finding a reconstruction surgeon to help me, after all I had been told by my previous Dr. that my issues could not be remedied. The first visit with Dr. Chevray was impressive, he was kind and thorough explaining the procedures, he was also very patient with me while answering my questions. He never rushed to finish the visit. He recommended DIEP Flap. After the procedure, once I healed I felt wonderful, I no longer have pain, I'm able to wear bras, and my breasts feel so natural. In addition his assistant Carol is excellent, she is so helpful, knowledgeable, and did everything in her power to accommodate my needs. Having to travel from Sheridan, Wyoming to Houston, Texas for the surgeries did not make things easy, but her and Dr. Chevray made it possible. They are amazing. Dr. Chevray performed two reconstructive surgeries 2010 and 2018. In 2010, he performed a breast reconstruction with flap. The breast looked as if there had not been any surgery. In addition, I did not require any pain management after the surgeries...not one pain pill. In 2018, I was diagnose with recurrent breast cancer; same side of the mastectomy in 2010. Dr. Chevray performed reconstruction surgery with a skin graft this time . He did an excellent job and the breast had began to take shape in less than two weeks. However, due to non surgery complications after being administered two chemo infusions a problem occurred with the skin graft. Dr. Chevray was quick to notice a problem caused by the cancer medical treatment plan and quickly countered any problems caused by the chemo infusions resulting any a breast not requiring any further necessary surgery. I would strongly recommend Dr. Chevray. Not often do you find a doctor that listens to you and have your best interest at heart. Nor would you find one that will continue to follow your progress even after another doctor has taken over your treatment. More

He definitely mastered the science of Aesthetics!! Dr. Chevray is highly educated and experienced in his field and the proof of his excellent work speaks volumes about the quality of plastic surgeon that he really is. My initial meeting with Dr. Chevray at his Sugarland office, was quite impressive as I needed more information to make an important decision about breast reconstruction. He was very calm and confident and he understood what my concerns were. I was happy to know that he would be able to do the DIEP procedure, where no foreign material will be placed in my body except tissues from my own body. I believe that if I am in the best hospital and my surgeon is the best in his field, then that solves 97% of my worries. It is the old nurse in me... After three surgeries including lymph node transplant, a highly technical new surgical technique, I have to admit that I actually love my new post cancer body. I am especially grateful for being lymphedema free in my left arm!!! no more compression sleeves YAY!!! Today, I feel wholesome when I look in the mirror. Through the blessed hands of a super great Artist, both of my reconstructed breasts were sculpted into the right size and shape. My clothes fit better than before surgery. We love Dr. Klebuc and his whole office staff. I did a lot of research to find him for my husband and he does not disappoint. He spent a lot of time with us on the front end explaining things. His nurse Karen is also phenomenal and worked with us on scheduling, and pre and post op questions. Dr. Klebuc did a 12 hour surgery to help repair my husbands nerve in his face after an ATV accident. It was clearly explained to us that it would take a year to see full results. He explained this to us in full but I already knew this as I have done my research. A previous review was unfair to him (complaining that people didn’t see a difference post surgery). Nerves grow back VERY slowly so it will take months and in some cases a year for full results. Wondering if she fully understood. And people heal differently so scar tissue can happen with people despite having the best surgeon in the world. And it IS a teaching hospital so you will probably have another doctor involved for a small part of the surgery because that’s what teaching hospitals do... The man is brilliant and exceptionally skilled at what he does and he loves what he does. The nurses that take care of his patients speak highly of him and his work. Being a nurse myself, I know that means he is truly one of the best. More

I highly recommend Dr. Pierre Chevray. I was very fortunate that I found him through the Methodist Hospital website. At that time I had lost hope of finding a reconstruction surgeon to help me, after all I had been told by my previous Dr. that my issues could not be remedied.The first visit with Dr. Chevray was impressive, he was kind and thorough explaining the procedures, he was also very patient with me while answering my questions. He never rushed to finish the visit. He recommended DIEP Flap. After the procedure, once I healed I felt wonderful, I no longer have pain, I'm able to wear bras, and my breasts feel so natural.In addition his assistant Carol is excellent, she is so helpful, knowledgeable, and did everything in her power to accommodate my needs. Having to travel from Sheridan, Wyoming to Houston, Texas for the surgeries did not make things easy, but her and Dr. Chevray made it possible. They are amazing. My first visit with Dr. Chevray, I knew I found the right doctor. I am forever grateful to Dr. Chevray for what he gave back to me. I can't leave out Carol, she was very compassionate to what all I had been through. On my first visit she gave me her business card and wrote her cell number on there, and told me I could call her anytime if I had questions or concerns. My journey started 4 years ago when I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I had a double mastectomy and everything that could go wrong, did. After 2 different plastic surgeons and 18 surgeries I was done! Then in January 2018, I heard about Dr. Chevray. That's the day my life turned around. Dr. Chevray is one of the most educated, well trained and compassionate doctor I've ever met. I don't know how to thank him and his team for what he did for me. I was at the lowest point in my life, my first visit. I had a hole on my left side, where you could see my chest wall. Within a week, Dr. Chevray had that hole closed up and I healed with no problems. Then in March, I had surgery to build a breast using my own thigh tissue and thigh skin. The man is a genius, it's the most beautiful breast I've ever seen. I'm not going to lie I was scared, I had already been through so many surgies that didn't work. IT WORKED and again I healed with no problems.About 3 months later, he did some tweaking and changed the right implant out from saline to silicone. Then it was time to make nipples, this is probably why more than anyone wants to hear but he makes the most beautiful nipples. Honestly, I hit the jackpot when I found Dr. Chevray, Carol, Carlos and now Patrick. Such special people and I will never forget what they have given back to me.... my breast! I highly recommend Dr. Chevray to any family/friends or anyone with a breast cancer diagnosis. I just wish I would have found him 4 years ago, he is the BEST! I've been a patient of Dr. Chevray's for 19 years. I have had multiple procedures performed by him over the years due to breast cancer at 27 and then again at 30. He listens to your concerns and then discusses every option available with risks and benefits to help decide the best course to take. After having a bilateral mastectomy with a TRAM flap he has restored confidence in myself being a woman. I have referred several friends and will continue to do so. My thumb had less mobility for a month plus , was lucky to get appointment right away . When I was at the receiption desk signing in , there was this person getting tea (had read about him and knew he is the doctor ). He looked so kind and greeted me and I knew that I came to the right place for my hand . The appointment was on time , the X-ray techinician did the rays and after the dr walked in he told me the line of treatment after getting to know my thumb history . I was given hydrocortisone shot and asked to come back in 6 weeks if the mobility is still not up to the mark . My work back ground is healthcare . There is no doubt that he and his staff truly genuinely cares for his patients.Then to talk about the awesome job I had? With a body I didn't even know existed under all of this? I could not praise him enough for what he and his staff did for me and my nerves during one of the most difficult times in my life. Do what I failed to do though- truly listen to what he and Nurse Carol or Patrick are telling you. They are telling you so that at the end of the day? You come out with asymmetrical breasts (well, I know I never had them before), and looking and feeling your best that you have probably not felt in years.Nurse Carol gave me her personal cell number and one too many times? Dr. Klebuc is the BEST! He is a miracle worker, kind, very professional & knows what he's doing. I'd trust him with my life for, he prepared & put my husband back together when he had to have his sternum removed & rebuilt with metal plates. He saved his chest muscles & had almost no scarring. My journey began 21 years ago. After three other surgeons did what I can only assume was their best (with devastating results), and more reconstructive surgeries than I even remember (really!), I was referred to Dr. Spiegel by a friend/fellow survivor. It may sound dramatic to say Dr. Spiegel has changed my life, but it is a fact. Dr. Spiegel’s work made me feel whole again (and damned proud of how I look for the first time in 21 years!!). Before having your surgery go to Dr Brown first. Some people don't realize that there is art in reconstruction surgery. No matter what you are having done I recommend getting a consultation with him. He did a wonderful job on my breast reduction and also has saw I had a place under my nose. The skin cancer is basil cell you can't even see the scar. It may be silly but after six months post surgery I have the feeling back in my nipples. As anyone knows there is a great possibility you doing. Today I noticed I have it back.Please get at least a consultation with him beforehand picking one. I am so happy to have had the honor of hos work. More
I was running a few minutes late, as I worked till midnight. Dr. Collins staff was so cordial and nice about everything. This was my first visit with Dr. Collins. He explained what he believes is wrong with my hand, which is a trigger finger. Same as what my family physician said and they are not within the same physicians group. My hand was xray'd and he gave me a cortisone shot, which hurt, but not as much as I thought it would - and he did it dlfairly quick, so no lingering pain with the injection. I am hoping I do not have to go back, but if need be, I will and I believe I will have faith that the good Lord led me to the best doctor for me. And he gave me a candy for doing well as a patient. Gotta love it! From the front office, nurse, xray tech and Dr. Collins, I was very pleased. More

After being diagnosed with breast cancer only six weeks after giving birth, my life was turned upside down over night. I immediately started chemo therapy, and a few moths later I was researching reconstructive surgeons. Dr. Spiegel came highly recommended by my oncologist, and I'd later find out it was for very good reason. Not only was I welcomed very warmly by everyone in the office, Dr. Spiegel showed me such a great deal of compassion that it really helped to put my mind at ease for my upcoming surgery. It was very clear from the wealth of information on her website, her tutorial videos, and the personal attention from everyone in office - from her PA's, to the office manager to her billing specialist - that everyone there was working together, fighting together, for the absolute best experience and results for the patient. The whole process from start to finish took a holistic approach to treating the patient. I ended up getting the DIEP Flap reconstruction surgery, and I was very worried about the final results - not just the look of the breasts, but also the abdominal scar. Dr. Spiegel explained everything in great detail to me, assured me she was going to make it all look wonderful, and after just having finished the second surgery (the cosmetic phase), I am thrilled with how it all looks so far. I'm still healing, but I cannot believe how great it all already looks. Dr. Spiegel surpassed my expectations, which were already very high. She's given me back a body I'd thought I'd never have again. My breasts look like they did when I was 20, maybe even better. And while there's no getting around the fact that this type of surgery leaves a long abdominal scar, her work left a very clean, soft line. One that over time, I know will fade and blend nicely. She contoured my entire abdominal and thigh area, and used that tissue to reconstruct the breasts. It all looks incredible. She's truly an artist. I'd highly recommend her to anyone thinking about about getting this complex surgery done after a double mastectomy. Thank you Dr. Spiegel and all you amazing souls at her office. When breast cancer returned to my life earlier this year in the form of DCIS, I was surprised to find myself calm and without concern about how to deal with the cancer itself. What I dreaded was returning to endless appointments with doctors, nurses and physician assistants. The anticipation of hours spent in reception areas, examination rooms, following up on test results, waiting for questions to be answered and dealing with my healthcare insurance administrator was so unappealing that I planned to ignore the advice of all of the breast specialists I met with (including the second opinions from MD Anderson) and delay - or maybe never have- a mastectomy. I am glad I changed my mind. The biggest influence on my decision to move forward immediately with a bilateral mastectomy was the confidence I developed in Dr Chevray's approach to patient care and the manner in which his practice is managed. I have experienced many women in my family, including my mother battle ovarian and breast cancer. I now know that I have the BRACA 2 gene. With this knowledge and the encouragement of my doctors and family I decided to take proactive measures. As a healthcare professional I have a standard of care that is different for most average patients. I was significantly limited with pain, scar tissue and lymphedema. Dr Chevray exceeded my expectations along with his team. The professionalism, accuracy and education provided before during and after my DIEP Flap with lymph node transfer and reconstruction were accurate and complete. The lymph node transfer worked beautifully. My recovery continues and I am adjusting to my new body. It's exciting to not have to deal with the pain and swelling related to the lymphedema. Dr Alford and those that are a part of his team are absolutely wonderful!! He is simply amazing - he listens, is able to see the issue, come up with a resolution that addresses all issues and does so with the most positive, experienced and honest answers. I have had many procedures for sinus and have not experienced the positive results that doctor Alford was able to correct. Additionally, he corrected facial issues associated with prior surgery and age. The surgery simply had me looking refreshed rather than 'pulled'. They prepared me well prior to surgery. knowing all the steps and giving answers before I asked - Even had makeup for the bruising as a gift - what a nice surprise! They new exactly what I would need, how I would feel and heal, and were there for me every step of the way and each time I called. The most positve and supportive group that is so important in healing. I went to see Dr. Chevray to get information about having a prophylactic mastectomy and reconstruction, since I have a very strong family history of breast cancer. I met with him and his nurse Carol Ross. They immediately put me at ease with their friendly personalities and professionalism. They answered every question I had and explained the entire process and all of my options so that I could make the best decision. After meeting them, there was no doubt I would be having Dr. Chevray do my surgery. He even connected me with the doctor who would do the mastectomy portion of the surgery, and together they very quickly got me scheduled for my surgery. And I could not be more pleased with the results! Dr. Chevray did a fabulous job on the reconstruction, and I did not even need a follow-up procedure which is usually necessary. During the weeks after my surgery, I went in for follow-up exams and to have the surgical drains removed, and Dr. Chevray and Carol were always very nice and took the time to answer my many questions about the recovery process. I was very pleased with the care I received from Dr. Chevray and his team. I don’t have any complaints after about eight months of being under their care through my three surgeries (breast reconstruction).From my very first appointment with Dr. Chevray, I had a very positive experience considering the nature of the situation. Dr. Chevray, Carlos and Carol are all very caring people. I would recommend Dr. Chevray in a heartbeat. From my first appointment, he explained my options y in a precise and easy way to understand. He answered any and all questions that I had. Carol was great in getting back to me either via e-mail or phone. I never had to wait to answers. She is right on it. Carlos is also great. He even went to the office after Harvey (even though they were not even open) to take out my drains a week after my surgery. I am very pleased with the results of my surgery. Dr. Chevray performed two reconstructive surgeries 2010 and 2018. In 2010, he performed a breast reconstruction with flap. The breast looked as if there had not been any surgery. In addition, I did not require any pain management after the surgeries...not one pain pill. In 2018, I was diagnose with recurrent breast cancer; same side of the mastectomy in 2010. Dr. Chevray performed reconstruction surgery with a skin graft this time . He did an excellent job and the breast had began to take shape in less than two weeks. However, due to non surgery complications after being administered two chemo infusions a problem occurred with the skin graft. Dr. Chevray was quick to notice a problem caused by the cancer medical treatment plan and quickly countered any problems caused by the chemo infusions resulting any a breast not requiring any further necessary surgery.I would strongly recommend Dr. Chevray. Not often do you find a doctor that listens to you and have your best interest at heart. Nor would you find one that will continue to follow your progress even after another doctor has taken over your treatment. More

He addressed all my interminable questions, allowing me to make an informed decision. He was realistic in explaining the outcome, recovery time, risks and possible side effects of my procedure. We love Dr. Klebuc and his whole office staff. I did a lot of research to find him for my husband and he does not disappoint. He spent a lot of time with us on the front end explaining things. His nurse Karen is also phenomenal and worked with us on scheduling, and pre and post op questions. Dr. Klebuc did a 12 hour surgery to help repair my husbands nerve in his face after an ATV accident. It was clearly explained to us that it would take a year to see full results. He explained this to us in full but I already knew this as I have done my research. A previous review was unfair to him (complaining that people didn’t see a difference post surgery). Nerves grow back VERY slowly so it will take months and in some cases a year for full results. Wondering if she fully understood. And people heal differently so scar tissue can happen with people despite having the best surgeon in the world. And it IS a teaching hospital so you will probably have another doctor involved for a small part of the surgery because that’s what teaching hospitals do...The man is brilliant and exceptionally skilled at what he does and he loves what he does. The nurses that take care of his patients speak highly of him and his work. Being a nurse myself, I know that means he is truly one of the best. More

When others docs told me there was nothing they could do to repair my nose after cancer resection caused it to deviate and sit beneath my eye, he scoffed and said he could help. His life experiences have made him a doctor with rare insight into what his patients are experiencing ... losing the life we once had, handling depression, and trying to make the most of what we have. He is a kind and gentle man but tells the truth about expectations. I cannot say enough good things about him. He definitely mastered the science of Aesthetics!!Dr. Chevray is highly educated and experienced in his field and the proof of his excellent work speaks volumes about the quality of plastic surgeon that he really is. My initial meeting with Dr. Chevray at his Sugarland office, was quite impressive as I needed more information to make animportant decision about breast reconstruction. He was very calm and confident and he understood what my concerns were. I was happy to know that he would be able to do the DIEP procedure, where no foreign material will be placed in my body except tissues from my own body. I believe that if I am in the best hospital and my surgeon is the best in his field, then that solves 97% of my worries. It is the old nurse in me... After three surgeries including lymph node transplant, a highly technical new surgical technique, I have to admit that I actually love my new post cancer body. Through the blessed hands of a super great Artist, both of my reconstructed breasts were sculpted into the right size and shape. My clothes fit better than before surgery. I take better care of myself now than ever before. Just wanted to give an update about my recent breast reconstruction surgery. In February, I completed the second part of surgery (nipple placement) and minor smoothing of the breast. When I say minor, I mean minor, which speaks to the level of precision and excellence of Dr. Chevray's work. With both surgeries I was back in the gym working out within a month (of course with Dr. Chevray's clearance). Dr. Chevray is very precise and I am so thankful for him and his lovely team. So, you might ask was it worth it? Yes, it was! Having breast reconstruction surgery has helped me to feel whole again. I initially had a skin sparring mastectomy of the left breast with an expander placed in August 2016 followed by radiation. I was told by my radiation oncologist, the two breast would not look the same due to radiation which caused some concern. However, Dr. Chevray, Carol, and Carlos eased my worries. Together, we decided that a DIEP flap (microsurgery) using only the fat tissue from tummy would be the best option. In October 2017, I had the expander removed left breast, right breast removed prophylactically followed by immediate DIEP flap reconstruction. This was the best decision ever and I am happy I did not delay reconstruction because I did not want to have this process hanging over my head as I moved on in the second half of my life. I did not have any complications in the hospital or while I was recovering at home. My breasts are symmetric and proportionate. I still have slight discoloration from radiation but that will lighten over time. Overall, the breast look and feel the same, which is contrary to initial advice. I am completely happy with the results. I highly recommend Dr. Chevray and his team. It is often we hear the horror stories but not the good ones. I pray my review helps someone else on this journey. Words are not enough to express how grateful I am to Dr. Dinh. He literally saved my life as I had a bad practice on my breast with a butcher that can't be called a doctor. I had a great experience with Dr. Collins. I’ve been having excruciating wrist pain for 6 months, and I’d already seen 2 other doctors about it. I had to bring my 3 month old with me, and was nervous about how everything would go. I was told by a different doctor that I should avoid steroid shots because they were very painful, so I was also apprehensive about that. I went to Dr. Collins today. I saw the tech/nurse before hand, but then I had to use the restroom. I left my exam room and saw the doctor in the hallway. He saw me with my son, and asked, "Are you here to see me?" I told him yes. He asked, "Do your wrists hurt right here?" "Yes" "Okay, it looks like De Quervain’s/mommy wrist. Do you want the shots now while your baby is calm? I don’t want to make you sit around until he gets frustrated. We will skip x-rays. If it still hurts in 3 weeks, then we will try something else. Go to the bathroom first." Numbed my wrist. Gave me shots (which were only a little painful). Out the door. More
Dr. Chevray is a very low key plastic surgeon, which I liked. Some of the surgeons I interviewed were more like used car salesmen. I am thrilled with the way I look after the procedures I had done. He and his staff made me feel calm about what I was having done, which was unexpected. He does good work, he cares about his patients, what more could you ask? More

Both Carlos and Carol assisted in changing my dressings and remove JPs. They all have a great sense of humor which is sometimes the best medicine.From 2014 to 2017 I had three sugeries and lymph node transplant done by Dr. Chevray.My DIEP surgery was very long where Dr. Chevray reconstructed a total new left breast from my lower abdominal tissues. He even connected nerves from my chest to this new area. Today I can feel sensation in my left breast as the nerves grow. My right breast was gutted due to one spot of cancer previously and he reused my original skin. I also had my right breast resized and shaped to match the left with nipples. All the excess fat and skin below the arm pits were trimmed to even out. The final surgery was transplant of lymph nodes from my right groin to under my left arm pit. This was a very new and technical surgery that cured me from lymphedema of my left arm where I no longer need to wear a compression sleeve. I was very thrilled with the outcome of this surgery.Finally I had areolas colored around the nipples.Yes, it was quite a journey post breast cancer!! The final outcome is great... I like my smaller breasts now and my abdomen is flatter and my clothes fit better. I continue to do stretching exercise of my left arm where there is residual thightness. I am careful what I eat now more than ever to maintain my health. Dr. Chevray has put my body together again where I do feel wholesome when I look in the mirror and when fully dressed. My journey began 21 years ago. After three other surgeons did what I can only assume was their best (with devastating results), and more reconstructive surgeries than I even remember (really!), I was referred to Dr. Spiegel by a friend/fellow survivor. Dr Chevray performed a DIEP Flap with lymph node transfer after my cancer treatment and L mastectomy. I was significantly limited by pain, scar tissue and lymphedema. The first surgeon said I was too high risk. We discussed my goals, and he and his team provided exactly what he promised. A body that looks great with clothes on. I'm still adjusting to the better than before body and there are not enough characters allowed to provide the excellence I received. I recommend to everyone. More

The anticipation of hours spent in reception areas, examination rooms, following up on test results, waiting for questions to be answered and dealing with my healthcare insurance administrator was so unappealing that I planned to ignore the advice of all of the breast specialists I met with (including the second opinions from MD Anderson) and delay - or maybe never have- a mastectomy. I am glad I changed my mind.The biggest influence on my decision to move forward immediately with a bilateral mastectomy was the confidence I developed in Dr Chevray's approach to patient care and the manner in which his practice is managed. From my first contact with his right hand, RN Carol Ross, I knew I was dealing with professionals committed to straightforward communication conducted in a timely manner. Dr Chevray and his team took time to explain the various options, answer questions and review the benefits and detriments of each option. Meetings, phone calls and emails with Dr Chevray and his colleagues were well handled, with little or no delay. Every team member, from the receptionist to the billing coordinator, is friendly and well organized. Facial and Nose Reconstruction - Dr. Alford is my favorite doctor of all time, and I've had a LOT of doctors. When others docs told me there was nothing they could do to repair my nose after cancer resection caused it to deviate and sit beneath my eye, he scoffed and said he could help. He has been involved in four reconstructive surgeries (so far) to piece my face back together, the last of which (Phase 3 of a forehead flap surgery) was a month ago. There will be a few more to fine-tune my "new" nose.His life experiences have made him a doctor with rare insight into what his patients are experiencing ... losing the life we once had, handling depression, and trying to make the most of what we have. He is a kind and gentle man but tells the truth about expectations. I cannot say enough good things about him. If you have found him and decide to be one of his patients, you are a lucky person indeed. More

Just wanted to give an update about my recent breast reconstruction surgery. In February, I completed the second part of surgery (nipple placement) and minor smoothing of the breast. When I say minor, I mean minor, which speaks to the level of precision and excellence of Dr. Chevray's work. With both surgeries I was back in the gym working out within a month (of course with Dr. Chevray's clearance). Dr. Chevray is very precise and I am so thankful for him and his lovely team. So, you might ask was it worth it? Yes, it was! Having breast reconstruction surgery has helped me to feel whole again. I initially had a skin sparring mastectomy of the left breast with an expander placed in August 2016 followed by radiation. I was told by my radiation oncologist, the two breast would not look the same due to radiation which caused some concern. However, Dr. Chevray, Carol, and Carlos eased my worries. Together, we decided that a DIEP flap (microsurgery) using only the fat tissue from tummy would be the best option. In October 2017, I had the expander removed left breast, right breast removed prophylactically followed by immediate DIEP flap reconstruction. This was the best decision ever and I am happy I did not delay reconstruction because I did not want to have this process hanging over my head as I moved on in the second half of my life. I did not have any complications in the hospital or while I was recovering at home. My breasts are symmetric and proportionate. I still have slight discoloration from radiation but that will lighten over time. Overall, the breast look and feel the same, which is contrary to initial advice. I am completely happy with the results. I highly recommend Dr. Chevray and his team. It is often we hear the horror stories but not the good ones. I pray my review helps someone else on this journey. Dr Alford did an amazing job with my recent neck and face lift. I am 57 yo and wanted to have the surgery done before it was so evident I needed it. I had very slight bruising after 3 days, i am so happy and my face looks 20 years younger, without looking like I had anything done. I have experienced many women in my family, including my mother battle ovarian and breast cancer. I now know that I have the BRACA 2 gene. With this knowledge and the encouragement of my doctors and family I decided to take proactive measures. My gyn said when I was ready to consider my options that he would refer me to the best reconstructive surgeon. He sent me to Dr. Chevray at The Methodist Hospital. I met with Dr. Chevray and he listened to my situation. He spent a long time explaining my options and answering all my questions. He made me feel very relaxed and comfortable. With his guidance and support I feel I made the best decision for me. I didn't have a breast surgeon for the bilateral mastectomy and Dr. Chevray was able to refer me to Dr. Lim. A week ago I had facial reconstruction after a MOHS procedure for Basal Cell Carcinoma. The wound was large and Dr Brown did an amazing job on my face! When all healing is done and full recovery, no one will even notice the scars. It was a complicated and difficult procedure and he did an amazing job especially for my age! Very knowledgable - picked up on 2 other doctors' missed diagnoses. Easy to talk with, and he gives excellent verbal explanations of what may be wrong, what he is going to do to diagnosis the problem, and after that the treatment/s.His staff is the Achilles's Heel. I am still waiting for a follow-up call to see what we need to do next to pinpoint the nerve pressure/damage point. It has been over 2 weeks & nothing. This was not the only time that his office staff failed him. I had left a message to set up our first, and only, appointment. A response was not forthcoming in a timely manner, so I had to call again to get my appointment - I guess that his staff doesn't understand the importance of timeliness.The therapy group associated with his practice is excellent. I had 2 hand splints made, and they are helpful.Overall:. great doctor, but staff is not up to snuff - they are letting him down at 2 locations. More

He has always been very informative going over every detail and answering every question. After doing the DIEP procedure, I had a slight complication (abdominal bulge) that resulted in two additional surgeries , in which both were emotional for me. I'm BRCA1 positive. I had ovarian cancer in 2015-16 with 6 rounds of chemo. November 2016 I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Dr Echo did my breast reconstruction after my double mastectomy. He made sure I understood every step that was to take place pre-OR, during surgery and post-op. Dr. Echo answered all my question, understood my fears and cared about my feelings. A million times yes! If you are considering surgery Dr. Chevray is the very best. After finding out I was BRCA+ I researched surgeons for several years while I got up the nerve to have a preventative mastectomy. At my first visit he calmed all of my fears and explained my options. I had met with two other surgeons trying to decide who to use, but when I met with Dr. Chevray I just knew he was the one! I had total peace and confidence. He is very academic, yet you feel like he is taking care of you like you are a family member. Dr. Chevray's nurse, Carol, and staff are so warm and caring...and were always available when I had questions. My results are natural, feminine, minimal scarring, and actually look better than before! Dr. Chevray is meticulous. I woke up from surgery in shock at how great I looked. Dr. Dinh is excellent. I was referred to him for a difficult fistula problem from a difficult childbirth. I have failed surgery repairs 3 times before I was referred to Dr. Dihn. He took his time to explain my choices and his recommendations. The complicated surgery took over 6 hours and the recovery was long; but now I can live my life again without a colostomy bag. He cares about you as a person and only wants what's best for you. I had a face lift that look so natural, because it was not too tight or pulled looking. I also had my neck lifted that gave my chin definition. I had not been happy with my chin/neck my whole lift and now it has a much better look. The combination gave me a much younger look. More

Dr. Collins is an orthopedic upper extremities specialist. He is fun and caring, he is informative and encouraging, he is realistic and optimistic. And he is a hand surgeon par-excellence. I went into his office with fear and dread, knowing in my heart I was probably facing a very tough surgery (my left hand had been operated on by another hand surgeon several years before, followed by months of very painful recovery and a disappointing outcome). Dr. Collins was warm and gentle, patient and kind. But reality had its way, and I faced surgery on my right hand with much trepidation. He and the wonderful staff of Methodist Hospital's OPC Pre-Op and Orthopedic Surgery units made my surgical experience as easy and painless as possible. I believe he has a Ph.D. as well as an M.D. Several other physicians and hospital staff, nurses, technicians etc wanted to talk about what a great doctor he is. I had a Septoplasty and rhinoplasty. I was very specific about the conservative approach to rejuvenating my nose. It looks Horrible! Not what I said I wanted done. The nose is assymetrical with one flaring nostril. I could breathe easily before the septoplasty and now I cannot. I have to wait one year before any "costly" revision surgery can be done. I would not recommend this doctor. More

I had a rhinoplasty about 6 months ago and I am beyond thrilled. I have always wanted a nose job and I happened to break my nose so why not kill two birds with one stone. My friend recommended dr.Alford and I was very skeptical about plastic surgery. Dr. Alford is possiblly the nicest man alive. He assured me that the surgery was safe and wouldn't hurt much, he was right. My pain afterwards was minimal and my nose looks better than I ever expected. My hump is gone and I look much more feminine and I feel very confident. Anyone who wants a nose job NEEDS to go to dr.Alford. I was am so happy with the results that I allowed for my pictures to be on his website. My new nose looks like the nose I was supposed to be born with. As time goes by continuously looks better. I am forever indebted to Dr. Eugene Alford for the facial reconstruction (3 surgeries) he performed on my face after skin cancer left a GIANT hole. I'm not talking about a dime size chunk...think tennis ball circumference. I look completely normal today and it's nothing short of a miracle. He even returned early from out of town the day after Christmas when his office was closed because I was having concerns about how a recent surgery was healing.
